Matthew Slater is the founder of Slate Recruitment and has been in the recruitment industry since 2011.

His passion for connecting with people and serving the livelihoods of companies with their staffing needs started in Utah, USA. It was here where he was so dedicated to his clients that he found himself packing cheese and building treadmills on a production line to better connect with clients and candidates alike.

He then moved back to Cape Town where he excelled at Communicate Recruitment, a division of AdvTech Resourcing. After 8 years with AdvTech, having established himself as the Top Recruitment Consultant for many consecutive years, as well as leading teams as a Branch Manager, his drive and hunger for success lead him to open his own recruitment firm.
